Founder and director of the Penny Farthing Drama Academy, Marc Lensly, was born and raised in South Africa and relocated to Belgium towards the end of the 1990's. He studied drama after school and his love for acting and the theatre kept on growing over the years.
Not long after he has decided to establish himself in Belgium, he ended up in the theatre in Ghent.
He has done various plays at the Arca and Tinnenpot theatre, Theatre Taptoe, educational theatre all over Flanders, a few television appearances and even a full feature film, produced and directed by a Flemish film director, which was filmed entirely in English in Kortrijk.
He has also been teaching English at various language institutions since 2000. He has a Bachelor Degree in English Literature and is also a qualified TEFL teacher (Teaching English as a Foreign Language).
However, his first love, the theatre, has never left and he thus decided to start up a specialised drama course, catered especially for secondary school students, where their interest and love for acting and the theatre can be combined with the opportunity to improve their English at the same time.
